EDITORIAL PROCESS
The journal's editorial process is structured in two independent stages: evaluation and publication, each of which is described below.
EVALUATION PHASE
Initial Evaluation
Manuscripts received first undergo an internal review process to determine whether they meet the journal's thematic scope, academic quality standards, and originality requirements.
At this stage, it is verified that the text conforms to the journal's established guidelines, including thematic relevance, required length, appropriate use of citations, and compliance with the author guidelines. Turnitin software is also used to identify possible matches or indications of plagiarism. The similarity report generated will be shared with the authors.
The journal only considers original and unpublished works. Accordingly, previously published articles or manuscripts currently under review at other publications will not be accepted. Likewise, when previously disseminated data are used, they must be approached from a novel analytical perspective that contributes original results or interpretations.
Articles that pass this initial review will be sent to a minimum of two external reviewers, who will independently and confidentially issue an assessment of the manuscript's academic quality. If the article does not meet the journal's required criteria, the author will be notified along with the reasons for the editorial decision.
Peer Review
Articles are reviewed through a double-blind system. Each manuscript is analyzed by external specialists, both national and international, who conduct a thorough evaluation considering criteria such as thematic relevance, methodological rigor, expository coherence, and the originality of the research contribution. Based on this analysis, reviewers issue an assessment accompanied by observations and recommendations that support the editorial decision. The specific evaluation criteria can be found in the Article Evaluation Form.
Final Decision
The definitive decision on the publication of articles rests with the journal's editors, who take into account the assessments issued by the peer reviewers. When there are significant differences between the evaluations, additional independent reviewers may be consulted. If discrepancies persist, the final decision will be made jointly by the editors and the editorial committee.
The evaluation process may conclude with one of the following decisions. In all cases, authors will receive a report with the observations and suggestions made by the reviewers:
- Accepted as is: The article fully meets the established criteria and may be published without modifications.
- Accepted pending minor revision by the authors: The manuscript requires specific corrections to meet the journal's standards. Authors will have 15 business days to make the requested changes.
- Accepted pending major revision by the authors: The article requires substantial modifications. In this case, authors will have 60 business days to revise the manuscript and resubmit it for evaluation.
- Rejected: The article does not meet the required quality standards and will therefore not proceed in the editorial process.
PUBLICATION PHASE
a) Style Review
The manuscript undergoes copyediting to ensure clarity, coherence, and consistency of language. Once this review is complete, authors will have 8 business days to verify and approve the corrected version.
b) Layout and Editorial Design
At this stage, the final version of the article is prepared, incorporating layout and editorial design. Authors will have 8 business days to review and approve the preliminary galley proofs before publication.
c) Declaration of Originality and Transfer of Rights
All authors must complete and sign a form certifying the originality of the work and authorizing the transfer of publication rights to the journal under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license. The journal also reserves the right to review published articles at any time, even after dissemination, in order to ensure ongoing compliance with its editorial quality standards.

- a) Receipt and initial evaluation: Approximately 15 business days.
- b) Peer review: Approximately 60 business days.
