As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • 1) Originality and exclusivity. The submission has not been previously published nor submitted for consideration by any other journal (or an explanation has been provided in the Comments to the Editor section).
  • 2) Formats and files. Two separate documents have been prepared: a) the Originality Statement and Copyright Transfer Form; and b) the Author Information Update Form, in the original language of the article, either Spanish or English, strictly following the formats established in the author guidelines section. Both files are submitted in Microsoft Word format and have been fully completed with all the required information.
  • 3) Content and presentation. The manuscript includes all tables and figures in editable and color format, integrated within the body of the text in order to facilitate a better understanding of the content. Likewise, the cited bibliographic references include, whenever possible, their corresponding DOI (Digital Object Identifier) or web link.
  • 4) The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • 5) The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines section available under About the Journal.
  • In order to ensure an agile, transparent, and fair evaluation process, the journal requests that authors carefully verify that their manuscripts comply with each of the requirements established below. Proper adherence to these guidelines contributes both to maintaining the editorial quality of the publications and to optimizing the review process. Failure to comply with any of these provisions may result in the immediate rejection of the article, without exception.
