Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the scope of water reuse in drainage to be developed in mining operations. The success achieved through the introduction of technological progress justifies the additional investment needed to improve the performance and management of water resources, as the amount of water used varies greatly depending on the number of mines, including rudimentary mines and large mines. Therefore, access to water is increasingly difficult for mining, water scarcity, the effect of unprecedented flooding due to climate change, instabilities in the system, wastewater and water quality during operations can cause restrictions in production, damage to equipment and. fame is the result This can affect production with costs, strong management, transparency and conflict resolution with other users (environment, industry, agriculture, among others), which increases financial risks in the long term. Similarly, we have that energy use in mining accounted for 14 liters of total national consumption in 2018. Therefore, the energy used (fuel and electricity) is equal, with 77 liters of the total fuel consumption coming from open mines, followed, at 9%; when energy consumption is 57%, followed by electrolysis with a volume of 22% of the total.
